Roberto Paneque Fonseca was born in Bayamo, M.N., on Oct 2th, 1954. His father, Mr. Robert A. Paneque (1928-1993) was a very active journalist who participated in the organization of the Cuban Revolution, since 1948, when Dr. Fidel Castro Ruz began fighting against the Fulgencio Batista y Zaldivar goverment.
Mr. Paneque Fonseca studied journalism in the University of Havana (1979-1985). He has been reporter and journalist in the Cuban Radio, the Cuban TV and also in Prensa Latina news agency and the Granma newspaper. Actually, he is executive president of Caribbean Sea Corporation, a Cuban-Mexican company operating in Cancun.
